This course is designed to provide educational training in basic life support (BLS) skills. The information provided is for instructional purposes only and should not be considered a substitute for professional medical advice. Caring By Default LLC, and any related parties are not liable for any damages, injuries, or other losses that may result from the use of the information or skills taught in this course. Participants are solely responsible for their own actions and decisions related to the application of BLS skills. Caring By Default LLC is committed to maintaining ethical and professional standards, including confidentiality of course materials and information. Caring By Default LLC adheres to the guidelines and standards established by the American Red Cross, and participants will receive certification through the American Red Cross in BLS. 

Terms & Conditions - the basics

In person BLS courses typically take 4-5 hours Blended courses of online learning and in-person learning sessions take approximately 2-3 hours. Late arrivals, especially beyond 15 minutes, may require rescheduling. Participants may need to bring required books or materials to class, you will be notified via email of course needs and specified duration of class times. Successful completion involves demonstrating proficiency in skills and passing a written test. 

 Participants will receive a digital certificate with access to their training history and certificate upon successful completion of training course. BLS certifications are valid for two years. A review course is needed to recertify scheduled 90 days in advance when the initial certification period is set to expire.

 

Fees for the BLS course are accepted through Eventbrite link or in cash day of training, once confirmed with Instructor. Rescheduling fees will not apply if students has communicated discrepancy in scheduling. Refunds will not be given unless there is grounds for serious illness or injury that keeps participant from attending the class.

Other Important Considerations:

Participants may demonstrate CPR on an elevated surface or the ground, depending on their scope of practice. ​All training equipment will be provided by Instructor and shall be returned once class is complete. Participants are responsible for any damage caused to equipment that totals in a cost greater than $100. Participants are responsible for ensuring their use of the training and materials complies with all applicable laws.
